interesting mod on repro/sync cards in A80 MKI-VU

okay, just for the interested and guys who helped me out on the A80 stuff ...
after fixing the power supply we checked the line_amps and found out that the cards have been modified .. some pics for the insiders :-)
because it a preview machine 2 repro/sync cards are in both line_amps.
cards are : 1.080.886-11
anyone who wants to share some how & why ... :-) would be nice ...

Looks to me like they are just bypassing the transformer and making a single ended DC coupled output. I suspect that if you measure it there is a fair amount of DC in the output of those cards.
If it were me I'd look for a couple of MK-IV transformerless output cards. MUCH better noise performance than those old BC transistors and balanced outputs. Also, I'd replace those old Frako caps, they are about 20 years past their expected lifespan.
Finally, no matter what anybody else tells you, don't replace those blue dipped A101 opamps. They are still the best performers that Studer ever made.

the journey continues ... :-) enjoying the ride ..thnx for feedback.
replaced all engine/capstan elco's ... pretty BIG step for me ...
after this MKI , starting on the 1/2inch RC...
