Skipping the CD

Do you guys get a lot of clients who just want the final masters emailed to them (16 Bit Wav)? A lot of people just upload the files to itunes. Seems like most of the people I work with don't care about having a physical CD.

I send out DDP probably 90% of the time (since licensing a DDP utility that the client can use). Before that, probably 50/50 -- But if they're getting discs replicated, they need some sort of production master... DDP or CD-R, although plenty are perfectly capable of burning their own if they have the proper software.

I'd say around 50% destined for full out cd and digital distribution vs. digital distribution only as well... a little vinyl mixed in.

I'd say that is true for only about 25% of my clients. Though, I am assuming we are talking "album" jobs. For singles, remixes, etc. there is not a lot of physical media involved.

Mostly I get EP or singles work, so that makes more sense. Thanks for the feedback all.
