MOTU Traveler MK1 for Pro Tools Capture Rig?

I have a MacBook Pro that I bought specifically for putting together a capture rig. I basically need an interface that will work with PT10 that I can clock to my Lavry Gold AD that has AES connectivity. The cheapest way to do this seems to be the MOTU Traveler MK1. My question is this: Is there any reason why this isn't a good idea? I assume that if I am clocked using a BNC cable and am plugged in using an AES cable that I will get pristine sound quality, but I am unfamiliar with MOTU interfaces. Just wanted to double check that there isn't any compromise in sound quality by going this way.

Sounds like I have a solid option on my hands unless somebody has ANY reason why there would be a compromise in quality going this route...

A compromise in quality, no. Just be careful with that firewire port - the shield is loose and will allow you to plug the cable in backwards, which will damage the interface. Had to fix a blown one 2 years ago.
