John, do you have small fans behind/under all this gear? What kind is it? 20cm fans?

No fans. The desk is a Sterling Modular - so other than the actual desk surface, it's more or less 'open-air' in construction.

Well, all my pictures seem to have a moody film noir dark look...

Makes it a bit trick to see the monitors [PMC IB1s] and the lower racks with additional custom VCA and FET compressors

Very happy with my setup, although I am considering adding another eq. Maybe a Bax or something like a pair of 550Ms
Happy 2012 everyone!

Nothing has changed in the analogue rack since I last posted pictures so here is a little shot of my PMC IB1 and the Dynaudio BM6P, the most important tools in the house, HNY.

BEHOLD

(to scale)

The floor is a studded rocky inlayof the highest calibre,
the large (1mx3m) speakers are a sony range of mastering monitors called SRS-P3's,
while the mastering unit itself (which looks deceptively like a 20x size version of a handheld pokie device - if you use your imagination) is a rare breed of neve console which was purely light-based, no analog componentry whatsoever.

Meanwhile, the silicon and wood base of the chair keeps my butt soft and smooth for ages.

Pretty much the same as last year. May be moving into a new spot this year. Also have my eyes on the Focal SM9's.

They definitely have caught my interest and seem like a good "upgrade" choice for me as I know the Solo's so well. Very interested in hearing them. At 7.2k USD a pair though they are certainly not light on the wallet.
