Thanks for the comments! Yes, it's a really comfortable place to work, and sound-wise it's a definite step up from my old room. I took plenty of inspiration from the 2011 show your room thread - some really great places people have.

Looks nice, Dave!
Would you mind sharing the measurements of your room? It looks like the roof is fairly low but still comfortable.

No problem. The internals are 450cm x 500cm. The ceiling height is 145cm at the front of the room rising to 230cm towards the back. The angle is such that I can stand up at the desk and not touch the ceiling, and I'm 190cm tall.

Very cool. Thanks for sharing. I'm looking at moving to a house that will give me around 1,93 roof after treatment so it's nice to see that it's working for you. Yours is a bit wider than mine though. I like how totally massive your 801s are looking in that photo

Figured I'd revive this thread. Just moved into a new spot about two months ago. A welcome improvement over my old room. I love working in here!

Additional plans for 2012 include a speaker upgrade (Tyler Acoustic D1 or MM5's most likely) and some boring stuff like a new computer.

The Rocky and Silvia are a killer combo don't you think?

Some nice audio gear in there as well.

I have the Rocky and Silvia at home too - I should move it to the studio. Great little pair. I like where you mounted the PID controller there between the steam wand and the grouphead. Looks nice and compact. Does it ever get a little hot? Mine is velcro'd to the top left of the machine.

I would change the name to "Floor 7 1/2 Mastering". Great looking room!

The PID controller is a must if you aks me. Without it the temperature is going all directions, with the PID it's rocksolid.
It fits like a glove there doesn't it?

Thanks guys! Been in here 4 months now and I can't believe what a comfortable place it is to work. It took me a few weeks to learn but I'm definitely doing some of my best work now. If anyone finds themselves in North Essex then come and say hello.

I don't have any outboard gear yet. But i love my MOTU 8pre interface and my new Equator monitors.
