Thread Starter | Peak 5.0 XT or Peak Pro With Waves Plug Ins?
Hi Everyone: I'm a working pro but definitely not a mastering specialist. I need to do mastering for smaller projects, commercials etc. from time to time. These include film scores, national TV commercials, serious demos, etc. Right now BIAS Peak 4.0 is my main mastering software. There's an upgrade to Peak 5 Pro with very few plug ins for $170. Also, there's Peak XT which includes Sound Soap Pro (a pop, click, noise remover), a multi-band compressor, several multi-band EQs and a host of other plug ins for $599. Am I better off going with the plug ins by BIAS at $599 or are there better plug ins from companies like Waves which are better considering the $420 price differential? I'd sure appreciate some advice from you plug in experts... Audy O

I would upgrade to v5 if you really feel the need to upgrade, but instead of waves, I would definately go for the new PSP Neon HR as far as eq-uing is concerned, and for the PSP MasteComp for compression. The best Mastering plugs for the Mac at this moment.
