The Beach Boys - Smile Sessions

I've listened to the new box which include vinyls and cd's.
I find the mastering quite different than the one on the songs you could originaly found on various Beach Boys albums.
For exemple Good Vibrations is definitly more compressed, and with an Eq boost on the high...
I don't think it's such an improvement, but I would like to have the opinion from people around.
