Depending on the type of music I'm mastering I'll use L2 if it is a slightly dark piece of music or more of an acoustic thing calling for a softer sound, but for aggressive sounds I like the Timeworks mastering comp. I hated the Timeworks on the first few tries but quite like it now. The L3 I use occasionally if the other 2 don't suit. It's just a matter of taste I guess with these maximisers.
