Cheers,
Eric | After you bought the Soma was there no money left for rack screws?
Great set up actually, you have all bases covered there.

No - it's just that the placement is all experimental at the moment - the analogue units are actually tied together via a Crookwood, so rack-order doesn't necesarily mean processing order, but I've not yet settled on the best physical situation for them all yet.
Cheers,
Eric

Here are some before and after shots.
I know, its amazing. Don't be too jealous, O.K.? | You just turned on the fan and all that stuff just blew away !!

matt | Out of shot there is another - dark brown - greyhound; and also a dark grey Deerhound the same size as the Wolfhound. So, contrasting colours, but at least the two pairs are fairly well matched in frequency response ...

If enough ME get behind it, can we make the 'new' thing in mastering to do the work in environments like Jay's last picture?
'I really need to hear how your mix will translate in the real world'
and of course
'Speakers placed directly on dirt focus the low end to perfection'

re: liveness, it's not overly live. There is plenty of absorption and trapping, but the room gets more live and diffuse as you head toward the back. It's not a dead room, but very controlled and balanced.
re: Chandler, that lives in the mix room and now gets used most often for parallel compression on drums.
re: "wings," they're just separate side racks, low and angled for acoustic benefit. You may also notice some acoustic treatment built into the back of the main console. The console and racks are obviously custom and were considered as part of the overall acoustic design.

Don't think I've showed off here lately:
These are from a month back. Ever since that, I've installed some more lights, serviced & reboxed the crossover on the top of the amplifier (and put it in the back of the desk).
I'm having a pro photographer coming in next week, and I'll probably have my new transfer console installed before that. It's almost finished.
