Tool for getting same level in all songs:Logic and others

Hello, I am finishing a cd´s and I realize that 2 or 3 songs have less level than others. I have been recording sync analogue and Logic. I have different tools to have control of master, but I want to know what would be better for he quality sounds of master:

1) Introduce aiff in Logic and increase level. It is the easier to do.
2) Record from cd to cd-r recorder, and increase level in cd recorder
3) Borrow a T.C Finalizer gear.

Thanks

thanks for your ear, but I am not speaking about mastering parameteres like eq, comp etc. I am only speaking about the level: More or less db.

If you just turn the level of the lower ones up digitally without using a limiter, chances are they'll clip. My approach would be to turn the louder tracks down until their RMS level approximately matches with the lower ones, and then use a multiband compressor & limiter to bring everything up again, while also giving the whole batch a cohesive sonic signature. This is not at all hard to do in Logic, so no point messing around with extra gear.

Nevertheless, Mr. Baboon's suggestion to use your ears and brain is the correct one.

It's impossible to use measuring instruments to do this for you. An RMS reading can give you an indication but loudness is a psychoacoustical phenomenon to a large degree.

Take your best song and master it at a good level then get everything else in the same ballpark

or hire a professional because mastering is not just about getting average level

Thanks,

I mastered some of the songs with a neve compressor, not all, and eq studer. It is a cd recorded in different moments and different recorder, analogue and digital. I was afraid about the richness of analogue was down when I introduce the aiff file in Logic and change level.

It woul be a good idea to be mixed by another engineer. The problem is I did it in another cd, but I was not happy with the result, I lost time and money. I must be very sure about the person can do better than me. Perhaps in the future, I would do.
