hidden track with wavelab

Hi

Can you guys help me with the hidden track on the end of the cd in wavelab ?

The only way I can make it work is to insert the silence between the last and the hidden track but then it displays the time of both songs + silence .
Is there any other way to do this in wavelab ?

Thanks

There is no other way to do it on the CD format. There is no provision for hiding / manipulating playing time of a track.

apparently if you are real sneaky you can place it in the silence before track 1, and have to rewind to it

i have had no success with this

PS: Some alternative methods of hiding a track that come to mind are:

- hide audio inside a very long pause (at the end of it), prior to an empty (last) track. People will see an extra empty track, but won't know what to make of it... before they once continuous play the whole disc (including the very long pause) and discover the hidden track

- hide audio in the track 1 pregap, i.e. before the first track (where nobody will ever find it, unless directed to look)

- hide audio by playing it directly after the last track really, really low in level. Say, attenuated by 50 dB. Very effective...
Downsides are: Noise will go up a lot, best use noise shaped dither. Also, people may forget to reset the volume after listening and wake up the neighbours / trash their hifi / go deaf. Actually, this is starting to sond linke a bad idea...

That's my favorite. Too bad media players don't respect end marks and pauses like CDs do. Or maybe they work the way CDs always should have...

I've done that quite a few times!

Hide the track before the first start mark.

Never had a problem with it!
