Sequoia DDP to DDP Creator - problem

Yes, more DDP CD text woes.

I just created a DDP in Sequoia (version 10) and imported it into DDP Creator.

One track shows an error in the CD text.

So, which software to believe? I never had any complaints from clients about CD text errors in pressed CDs, which i always create with Sequoia.

However, the above mentioned error was reported to me by EMI (they're using DDP Creator to check the DDPs they receive)

So my gut feeling is that my DDPs are fine, but an error is occurring in the import to DDP Creator.

Normally i wouldn't worry about this, but i need to give an answer to EMI why it shows an error.

I already told them to send it to the factory and get a report as to the CD text that shows up in the factory (awaiting the reply).

This is all very tiresome - we can put a man on the moon, but we can't keep a few letters in the right place with this CD text!

I would ask this question on the Samplitude/Sequoia forums. They have a tech they you can call as well that might help. I cannot afford Sequoia, but love Samplitude.

I discussed it with Pieter. Here's some important info for Sequoia users:

In the image below the apostrophe in the text in the upper line is out of spec and needs to be changed to the one in the line below.

OK, i just found a very useful online app that will convert your CD text to the ISO-8859-1 spec (that's the DDP text spec):

Online charset/codepage conversion

So if you first copy/paste your text to this app, it should strip out any problematic characters.
