Does the CDDB ever identify through ISRC codes?

My understanding is that the CDDB identifies registered album info based on total track count, individual track length and total album length. A client of mine was recently told that the CDDB can identify albums through the embedded ISRC codes. The benefit in this is that you should never have a duplicate album pop up when inserting a CD. This seems particularly useful with singles and short EP's where duplicates (another CDDB registered CD with same exact timings) are a more regular occurrence.

Can anyone shine a light on this? Will submitting an album to the CDDB with ISRC codes automatically take into consideration that they are embedded, Or does the CDDB just completely ignore ISRC codes and simply work based on timing? Thanks.

Bump after 45 minutes huh....

I did find this bit of info:

"Another, and possibly superior, way to do this is to register with CDDB and place ISRC codes on your tracks. These codes are assigned to each track on a CD, and can be entered using Jam, and probably several other burning programs. CDDB will issue you a unique prefix, and you just add the digits you want to identify your tunes. You can then enter the information into the Gracenote/CDDB database, and there you are. This seems to me to be a superior technique, as it is not restricted to iTunes and provides a unique identifier that is not based on track length or track order and avoids the possibility of misidentification due to similar properties of other tracks."

It seems that maybe the CDDB takes ISRC codes into consideration automatically.
