Thread Starter | RX2 post limiter
Post limiter enabled in downsampling src catches all clips better of any digital limiter i have........ In a clipped 96khz 32bit record converted to 44,1khz 16bit there is simply no intersample clips. Fixed ceiling at 0dBfs! In a clipped and vst oversampled limited 96khz 32bit record, downsampled to 44.1khz 16bit (without src post limiter), there is a not fixed ceiling that sometimes in hard passages goes over 0. My question is RX2 src post limiter catches intersample peak not pre but during or post downsampling process ? VST or hadware digital limiter are still so indispensable ? I m still experimening with it and i want to involve others ME |

RX 2 post-limiter works after SRC and it's not specifically made to limit inter-sample clipping. Your case is probably a nice coincidence.
