WaveEditor: question in editing

Guys

Have that little question about Wave Editor (I know that is widely used for mastering here) .

Need a simple task: I'm editing an interview and want to cut some spoken words from it. And now, simple cutting leaves a "click" after that - and I want to cut this like left and right part of wave to little mix on each other and that will cause "smooth cut" without a click. Is it possible with Wave Editor in _SIMPLE_ way? Need to to about hunderds of edits like this in that interview.

Tried to ask Audiofile eng. but they didn't replied til now..

You could use smart edits to create crossfades at each 'cut', not sure how easy that is for you.

It's easy but time-consuming...

I wonder if exist anything like setting up that "after-cut" fades automatically, so i can just select -> cut -> search -> select -> cut, etc.

If you were saving each cut to a new file, you could use Sample Editor to batch process fades like that, though again assembly might be a PITA.

I use their other product Sample Manager to create batch processes like fade in/out of N ms to help with things like this. Definitely worth having for a multitude of other reasons (like Izotope resampling) but this would sort this particular issue out for you.

Also, the guys at Audiofile just recently posted a 'tip' on a semi-automated way to generate markers in Wave Editor at a chosen threshold which could then be manipulated to edit points for fades...

Audiofile Engineering - Support

Could this be of help?
