Dangerous Audio ASS (additional switching system)

Hi

I was just wondering if anyone has tried out this as a monitor DAC.

It integrates with the Dangerous Monitor ST but provides digital switching so that you can audition different sources through the one DA using the Monitor ST's controller. Looks like this could be useful for switching easily between Mastered, Un-masterd and Reference tracks and using a consistent DA convertor. Currently I use an 8 Channel Convertor to allow me to do this.

I was wondering if anyone here has had any experience with or has tried out this convertor. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I have one and it's pretty amazing. However, as we've only just finished setting re-doing our studio (with maybe another day of calibration and organizing), I'm going to be really putting it through to the test starting this weekend.

I can tell you that it sounds really fantastic - very wide open and clear.

On a functional level it integrates perfectly with the Monitor ST and overall provides a very good user experience.

I chose it over the Avocet which I was planning to buy until I was sent the Dangerous System to try out.

Thanks for the response. I am surprised that there aren't more users of this system.

I have had an email back from Dangerous which says that It is essentially the same DA as the Dangerous Monitor, so if there are any Monitor users who can comment on their experience/opinions on the DA in the monitor it would be greatly appreciated.

Dangerous Monitor - Master -Mq here, great converter, very detailed, absolutely top unit. You should give it a try!
