Preference testing app/plug

Anybody got any tips for an application or plugin that can do blind preference testing? Not ABX difference testing. I'm looking for something that let me test myself and others and look for a statistically relevant preference for one file or the other.

Using windows here and would prefer a stand alone application or something like a plugin for Foobar2000. A VST plugin will also do the work although it's a bit more hassle. Hopefully supporting 24 bit and 2x FS samplerate.

Would love to get any tips!

The most suitable testing method for this is ABC/HR (Hidden Reference). The ITU standard (ITU-R BS.1116-1) description mentions:
Quote:
The subject is asked to assess the impairments on "B" compared to "A", and "C" compared to "A", according to the continuous five-grade impairment scale. One of the stimuli, "B" or "C", should be indiscernible from stimulus "A"; the other one may reveal impairments. Any perceived differences between the reference and the other stimuli must be interpreted as an impairment
In your context, this method can be used to test for "enhancement" or "impairment", doesn't matter, depends how you look at it or set it up. There are multiple ways, and some programs for it. See here.

Hehe.. Thanks! :-)

It's going to be used first and foremost to give room correction a good honest try. Don't believe in it from a physical/acoustical standpoint. So I need a way to make sure I'm not influenced by that bias when evaluating the results! Don't want to make myself the only arbiter of the performance either. Hence the need to be able to test the response of visitors and collect statistically revelant data on a wider basis. It may be that I don't like it in any case, being so used to what I have and all that. If everyone else prefer it and I hate it, that's at least an incentive for me to search further within that avenue. Even if nothing changes on my side of things, it would at least give me a reason to be a bit more humble when the subject comes up for discussion.
