How to Pan left / right afterduring edit?

Noob question:

How would you pan all around/ left to right backforth etc. as in that 'swoosh around your head' effect after you've recorded a 'straight' track?

With pan automation processing Left and Right channels separately in the DAW app of your choice.

Yea, use paning envelops or even an auto paner plugin effect. Either one can work

fwiw - I've used on occasion the JMS-Audioware Pan Master 4000 auto-panner plugin that I've used in mixing (but not mastering) to effect this as well - but it's SAWStudio native so probably not of any use to you.

The freeware Stereotool from Flux at Flux:: sound and picture development available as VST/AU/RTAS might be helpful for this to you though.

Best regards,

hmmmmm, I've spent hours now trying to get that free vst plugin to work w/ my awesome sequencer (audacity)....haven't figured out how it works.....I don't think it can do that 'swoosh' effect...
