| Lives for gear | How to Pan left / right afterduring edit?
Noob question: How would you pan all around/ left to right backforth etc. as in that 'swoosh around your head' effect after you've recorded a 'straight' track? |

With pan automation processing Left and Right channels separately in the DAW app of your choice. Best regards, Steve Berson |

Yea, use paning envelops or even an auto paner plugin effect. Either one can work Cj |

fwiw - I've used on occasion the JMS-Audioware Pan Master 4000 auto-panner plugin that I've used in mixing (but not mastering) to effect this as well - but it's SAWStudio native so probably not of any use to you. The freeware Stereotool from Flux at Flux:: sound and picture development available as VST/AU/RTAS might be helpful for this to you though. Best regards, Steve Berson |

hmmmmm, I've spent hours now trying to get that free vst plugin to work w/ my awesome sequencer (audacity)....haven't figured out how it works.....I don't think it can do that 'swoosh' effect...
