It depends on what it goes through.

If it's "Use Waves to make your mixes really loud" then no.

If it's about learning to develop listening skills and how to integrate those skills into bringing consistency into your project, (and you're lacking in said skills) then yes.

the best teacher is experience...remember it's a game with no rules....if you apply hard set, unflappable rules to your process, you will find yourself stuck in a rut very soon

the best way to apply processing is to

1. gain a fundamental understanding of how sound works/interacts with the human brain

2. learn to listen critically

3. learn what the tools you use do on a fundamental level (compression for example)

4. listen

5. apply said knowledge

6. profit

I think you would be better off setting aside a few hours a day and simply try things out, and make mental notes of how they affect/effect the outcome
of your mix/master

no video tutorial is going to replace a decade of experience....it's a reality that I think you need to accept....and then be proactive about

Henry Rollins sums it up best with his quote "knowledge without milage equals bull$hit"........

A video tutorial can be useful particularly if you are coming in from zero......however use it as a starting point and as others have said...... roll up your sleeves and just play with them.....sometimes it's those "accidents" that can create "genius"......
