Arabian Genre Mastering....

Hello everyone,
am newbie in the forum, and i would really appreciate your tips and helps,

am working on some Arabian Church songs which is absloutley a new genre in music, basically it consists of a lot of Chorus lines, Vocals, background real choirs, and some pads and bass...
my only problem is in the mix becasue as you can see i have more vocal stuff than an instruments so its a little bit hard for me to get the perfect mix..
so if anyone has an idea or tip about vocal, chorus and choirs mix please do not hesitate it's really important...

and because am quiet sure that none of you guys have heard this kind of songs before i will post this link for one sample so you have a clear sight about what am talking about.....
http://www.marhooniyat.com/Audio/Ahz...baa%27a/04.mp3

by the way this song is actually made by one of the best engineers in this genre and i would really be thankful if anyone could guess whats his recipe in the mix because this kind of mix is actually what am looking for.

thank you all.....

To be honest I don't really see what the problem is.

It sounds to me like the backing vocals are softer with not too much presence, big reverb with no pre-delay to push them into the background. Main vocals with autotune and delay. 2nd main vocal slightly softer with auto-pan.

dear Alistair,

thanks for the response, but the problem i have is that when i try to give the mix a punch of loudness, am facing that distortion issue that really drives me crazy.
any thoughts or recommendations for the final limiting or compression, and by the way you're absolutely right the backing choirs are softer and have big reverb with no pre-delay, but do u have any clue about the type of reverb he's using for the backing choirs?? is it a plate, chamber or hall type...

thanks again

The Reverb sounds like a Hall. Try your Cathedral presets.

As for level, I'm guessing a lot of compression of the individual elements so that the mix is already loud before mastering.

Thanks dude, I'll try to make some individual compressions on the backing choirs and the other stuff before the mastering stage and I'll see what i can come up with..
