CD Plant??

Hey guys,

I am looking around for a new CD Duplication plant that still uses Injection Molding to manufacture their CD's, and accepts DDP transfer. I am trying to avoid CDR Replication companies. I prefer someone either in the Southern US since I am based in South Florida or from the Continental US. I have looked up some names but prefer to get some references.

Thanks in advance guys! thumbsup

I dont know of anyone who does "duplication" who bothers with DDP.

Why are you avoiding Glass Master replication? I worked in the industry here in the States for awhile, and I learned its a totally shady business. Peoples discs get replicated over in Taiwan all the damn time and NO ONE knows about it! Lol, its funny once youre on the inside. Pretty goofy industry. So, Im really just curious.

And for the record, I never played a part in "screwing" anyone while I worked there and always treated everyone the way I would have wanted and quite freely would explain to people the WHERE's and HOW's of things.

I think you have your terms the wrong way about:

What is the Difference Between CD Replication and CD Duplication?

Assuming that what you want is in fact replication (pressed CD), my preferred UK/European plants are Sony DADC. They also have a presence in the US, and if the standards are the same I don't think you'll go wrong. You may have to find a broker that uses them though: AFAIK individuals can't deal direct. I have no business affiliation with them BTW.

Yes your are right... God I feel like a noob! Thank you.

But back to the primary question.... does anyone know any reputable companies here in the US that have reasonable pricing so I can keep their information here in the studio for future reference, I have a gospel band that would like premium cd's replicated, but I would rather go with someone that has been around for a while or at least has some great references by some others. Looking forward to your input thumbsup

Looks very very good thank you for the heads up. I will be contacting them Monday, still open to other options, but excellent reference

CD Replication (Glass Mastering) from DDP Master

If Sony won't take your order directly - we are often requested to go from DDP masters.

Not a problem -

we do it all the time -

We are in the US

We work with a lot of engineers who really don't want the glass master made any faster than what a DDP will allow. Its not hard for us to oblige.

If you still need help - give a call - or find us CD Replication From DDP Master

Many of my clients (and on a few projects of my own) have had very good success with Discmakers - and they do in fact accept DDP uploads now.
CD / DVD Duplication, CD / DVD Replication, CD / DVD Duplicators, CD / DVD Printers, Blank CDs and DVDs

Best regards,

See, youre just the client I would have been helping to the fullest. I used to get alot of ministries and church organizations great deals on things.

Yeah, lets see..."reputable" eh? Well, even though they were my biggest enemy at my old job, (cuz the boss said so), the best way to go these days in the States? Sadly, Discmakers.

I only say sadly because they went around the country and bought out over 90% of any and all small time replication houses. Theyre like the Wal-Mart or Guitar Center of the industry ~ they are a massive beast.

Heres something most people do not know: Discmakers owns and operates Oasis. I spoke to the CEO of Oasis myself about this and eventually got him to admit this based on telling him that knowing this was a hinging factor to a client I was working with. Yup, Discmakers owns Oasis too.

But now, after a bit of dust has settled, sure Discmakers is the Wal-Mart of the industry, but theyre providing not only the best pricing but the best quality control.

Call Discmakers. Id say. I just had my CD printed though them, much to my eventual surprise. They turned out great!
