What is the order of your signal chain on your Master buss?

Excuse the n00b ?

I am a 100% ITB with my stuff.. And my mixdown game is juvenile.. I just slap on any chain and presets and go by ear..

I just bought nebula and will be devoting a lot of time into learning it's nuances..

So I was planning on using it strictly on my master chain in a stack with pre and post meter for accurate gain staging.

I strive for a gritty, punchy, 90's hip hop dirt.. So I will be looking to build a chain including some analog distortion and tape impulses but I wanted to know what the best advice is on chain order..

would the best be ..

analog dist -> tape -> compression -> EQ?

any help is appreciated.

The chain is up to what the mix is asking for.

Certainly don't count on it ever being the same from one mix to the next...

For home mastering with Nebula I suggest:

Neb ---> eq ---> Neb ---> compression ---> Neb ---> Limiter/dithering

Tape and tube may fit anywhere in the chain, just try it.
