| Lives for gear | CD burning SW...
Ok, I do all my "self-mastering" in Nuendo... what I need is a CD burning application that has the basic functionality of Wavelab - meaning - being able to put locator points on a wavefile - for example - in electronica - seemless crossfades between songs - I have the complete master as a single waveform - and I only want to put the markers on it and then choose - "no space between tracks" so it will play continuously and only show next track number - I could do that in Wavelab, but I am not buying it just to be able to do that simple function that must surely be availabe in some less complete software package meant just for burning master CDs... Is there any free or cheap burning software that allows you to do that - and being able to write the ISRC codes, etc. for PC/Windows platform...

CD Wave will allow you to drop markers wherever you want and audition the start point of each track. The demo is free and unlimited while registration is only $15. It either splits the tracks into separate files or it will produce a .cue file which can be fed into all kinds of CD burning programs - many of which are free. I use Plextools XL but EAC and Imgburn are two free alternatives. You can find CDWave at MiLo Software Cheers James. |
