Ways to test convertors for glitches?

Does anyone know about good tests to see if you convertors are slipping, glitching or generaly not acting cool?

Maybe a piece of audio you can record through for a long time which shows the tell tale signs?

Just re cabled and connected mine so want to be on the safe side!

Thanks

i think its pretty obvious,

Open Sound Forge and put it to record for 30 mins on empty signal.
See if you have any clicks drops etc, after you normalize it.

Second option use measuring program to measure the distortion, frequency response etc.
