All else being equal, in a hybrid analog / digital setup with a simple, continuous signal chain where otherwise the ADC would be the clock source, the Antelope Trinity will significantly increase the likelihood that the mix you're working on is one by M. Brauer... which is generally considered to be a very positive factor with regards to sound quality.

In addition to the excellent engineers already mentioned, Mandy Parnell recently opened her own place (Black Saloon) after working at both Electric and The Exchange for many years.

Cheers,
Thor

I mostly use analog for a bulk of my work - with digital processing coming from plugins or a Z-Sys EQ.

Are the Antelope products still worthwhile to check out? I don't usually moan about price but at that rate I'm expecting the Earth to shake & the clouds to part.
it made a big difference for me and it made a big enough difference for every mastering engineer I turned the antelope on to.

Got to say that recently most of the times when I've been impressed with a remastering job when I look at the credits Simon Heyworth's name is on it.

Best regards,
Steve Berson

Ian Cooper - clean as a whistle and old school care.
Abbey Road generally good.

Boxy sounding speaker of the century must surely go to the Tannoy Reveal (red one), they are so good they even "reveal" things that are not in your recording at all.
eh? and that has to do with uk mastering engineers?

Beau kills me. You go there and it's like nothing is getting done, just having a whale of a time, laughing yer arse off. Then suddenly it's all done, it all sounds great and it's time to go. And he gets the beers in.

Err...why not...top 10 pop single...I'd take that as a credit! (actually I do...I recorded a single of theirs, that should have been Top 10...had a certain Michael Jackson not had the bad manners to die that week!).

hi folks,

I heard from some great mastering co. like Exchange or Metropolis for
electro like french Daft Punk or Gold Frapp UK sound - dunno ? Most
of them are doing this by the net - it works with out be there ?

Check out this, the band seem to post their song straight from the studio,
no mastering. What do you think, true or what ? (pretty sound through) :
