dance music producer wants to upgrade from Event 8XL to Dynaudio BM15A. Advice req.

Hi i am a dance music producer who owns a pair of Event 8XL monitors and i am looking to upgrade with a pair of BM15A and would like some advice...
I know this is the mastering forum but actually i am not asking about production tips i am only worried about the sound fidelity...
My music is in the market for home listening, car, radio, ipods but also for big rigs in clubs and festival and the latter especially is very important to me. With the Events i had quite a decent experience and could work for some years but i always have the feeling that they are not trustable, transparent enough, that what i hear is not exactly what i get especially when the music will be played on big systems...i dont trust the bass and the relation of the bass with the mids....
so i have some collegues of mine who owns BM15a they told me that they are satisfied and trust their monitor completely thats why i am looking in this direction...
my room is quite big so this wont be a particular problem...
any advice, suggestion? some people also suggested me to check adam or focal....

The BM15A require a large room, I find the BM6as to be more accurate. Do you have bass traps in the corners? that will help as well.

Yes, I have also heard the BM6As translate much better.

Best scenario would be to get both the 6s and the 15s, but to go with just one pair I second the 6s.

Then get the BM6A. That's it.

Thanks for the replies!!!

well my room is 6m X 4m and irregular shaped (the roof is like a prism) i dont have bass trap though but i think its quite ok...
going for the bm6 anyway would mean slightly downsize the woofer actually cause the Event's one is 8 inch while bm6a i think 7''....i mean what i really need is to understand the sound of the bass....

or the size of the woofer doesn 't necessarily involve a smaller or bigger bass?

i guess the only solution would be go into some audio shop and try them both possibly wity my music.....

Loop, I have a similar room. If you need extreme bass, pick one of two BM9s or BM12s sub monitors.

no. it's not ok. treat the room.

your selection of monitors is pretty irrelevant compared to getting your room in shape.

yep .. 100% treat your room first ... it's an "eye" opener ...

bass traps just flatten out the peaks on your low-end, therefore giving a more accurate picture off what's going on ... just some new speakers could even emphasis the problem ...

fix it @ the root ...
