The Unforgettable Fiire Remastered

Hi,

Has anybody heard and can compare the remastering of this release with the original recording? Has it been over compressed with a loss in dynamics, or has it been done tastefully, enhancing the original?

Also, does anybody know if the 180 gram vinyl has been sourced from the original analog source, or a digital source?

Any help would be appreciated.

This will be interesting to hear, and to read about. I liked what was done with the War album, which of course was a much more of a raw sound with plenty of punch, but retained integrity in the remastering.

Anybody out there that can provide clues on the vinyl 180 gram remastered LP of U2's The Unforgettable Fire?

Our Kevin mastered it originally so we'd be interested to hear the remastering! To answer your question I'd imagine it was remastered from the original tapes like the other albums.
