Eq for Myspace site

Has anyone experimented and come up with an eq setting that is optimum to 'restore' the somewhat degraded sound of an mp3 after it's been put through the Myspace 'machine'?

Unless Jesus Christ himself makes eqs, then no.

Yes. The same settings that goes for anything else.

Eq'ing especially for mp3 and myspace and so on is, in my humble opinion, an useless approach.

exactly,
struggle with myspace music fidelity is a windmill tilting my friend
much better option is to use a separate shareware flash player, or other player. You can download .wav/aiff/flac files then. Google it.

I am currently struggling with this, becasue my html/flash or other computer programming skills are close to 0.
Well, I hope to sort it out during weekend.
I use bandcamp, as suggested by Mazevedo on this forum:

a stable, realiable and easy to setup MUSIC player

it works good on my website, now I need to add it to myspace.

good luck

Yeah, bandcamp is cool for the players.
I gave up on the myspace player the day I uploaded an mp3 at 96kbps/22kHz and it actually sounded better than the 192kbps tracks.

Myspace is at 10MB (per song) uncompressed now.

Are you sure?
I knew about the 10MB limit, but in my clients' experience the shorter the audio duration the less data squeeze (myspace default player).

I like what Myspace does to my work. It's the great equalizer: my shitty mixes sound as good as considerably more talented engineers' mixes.

LOL its a place where some one with Zero real life friends can have millions of "virtual" relationships.

To the OP: There was a time when I cared about the Myspace player, but then I realized that if you just do your best to make the work sound good..its going to sound good everywhere. There is a thread about this subject going on @ the Harmony Central Forums right now....the Myspace player cuts everything off above 10k.

Interesting, but not on my list of things to worry about.

Somewhere on the site it specifically says "uncompressed"
So I reloaded my songs choosing an mp3 rate that woud just squeeze into the 10mb mold (using LAME software - short songs made 320kb - the live Dazed and Confused at 128K - ouch!)
The playback is uncolored (using my desktop speakers)
