Dangerous DAC-ST & Weiss DAC/2

I've been thinking about upgrading my monitoring DAC and came across these 2. Has anyone had a chance to try them? I've tried the usual suspects in the past(Lavry, Benchmark, Cranesong, Mytek) but haven't heard these yet.

And is the Dangerous DAC the same one they use in all of their other products or is it different?

before the dangerous dac was released, i talked with them about it and was told its a totally new design, and spanks everything that muth has made to date. (pre-sales bravado?)

but, i would love to hear it too!

Haven't tried the new Dangerous.

But have the Weiss. It's very good.

I know Chris is a big fan of Prism D/A- the Dangerous was meant to be pretty close.

Its what they use at Sterling, so that makes sense. And alot of their masters come back sounding bigger with what seems much more space around the mixes.

Still i was a little dissapointed in the sound of the monitor ST. Maybe it was a bad day or something but it left a little something to be desired, so i was a little skeptical on the DAC.

For the price maybe i'll give it a shot.

The Prism's are good out of the box. No mods needed.
