Thread Starter | Adding a Focal sub to the Focals 6 Be's
The title says it all, I am currently using the Focal 6 Be's for my monitoring. These are supposed to be linear to 40 hz. The sub for these goes to 30 hz and cost about 1600 dollars. Is this a necessity in mastering for an extra 10 hz of sub information. Thanks for any response. Justin

Reading through my above post this AM, I didn't really ask this the way I should have. What do most ME's monitoring systems go down to (is there a standard)? Does 30 Hz catch the true sub frequencies or would a monitor have to replicate lower frequencies to show the ME whether or not there are issues in the low end of the project material? That's where I was coming from (is 30hz enough low end). Thanks all. Justin |
