TC Digital Konnekt users? World clock problem...

Hi!

I have a TC Digital Konnekt on test from a local distributer and I would like to use it as a AES/EBU in out box alongside my Apogee AD/DA16x system as an aggregated device in OS X .

So far I was unable to lock the clock on the TC from AES or word external clock without clicks present in audio in firewire mode....did not bother with spdif and adat...

Another problem is that TC does not follow WC higher than 44.1 from my Crane song HEDD WC out which is my master clock generator. If I change the sr on HEDD to 88.2 it says : No reference

Funny thing is that I tried the WC out from Apogee AD 16x and the TC is not even recognizing the WC input....no reference

It works good only on internal clock....and that way is unusable to me......

Any ideas what may be wrong?

Gregor

Hello Grega, greets from Zagreb .

This sounds pretty unusable, yeah. TC Digital Konnekt should be able to do that. Why don't you try asking on the TC forum? - TC Electronic Forum / Audio Interfaces

Then let us know the results. :P

Cheers!

Remarkable underachievement by TC... :(.

These days, drivers are so much important than the hardware, that I'm always looking at those instead of just looking at the hardware. That's a pitty because TC have great hardware. They should probably "upgrade" their drivers department...

For me, so far, Lynx and RME drivers work best and I buy accordingly no matter how it sounds. It's sad, yeah.

Cheers!

Other than the TC Near control panel crashing (a previous version of it, it's since been fixed) I've not had a single problem with my x32.

Did you try to use the external wordclock signal as a master?

44.1,48,88.2.......I would really like to know if it follows the external clock in firewire mode............

maybe I have a faulty unit......?

No response from TC so far......sent two mails to their customer support.,....

I have once or twice, max. 48k though (I never need to work any higher here) but I'll try it all again at some point today and post back.
