Please help me set fasttrack usb and monitor volumes

Alright, right now my rp5's are set to -6db. My fasttrack usb has the "mix" knob turned to about 2oclock (when it's all the way down it's at about 7oclock) . And my output knob is about at 2oclock as well. I'm really not sure if my mix knob should be turned up that much, and if should turn up my monitors a little bit. I don't really know what the difference between the mix knob is and the main output knob on the fasttrack, they both seem to bring the volume up and down. I looked in the manual and couldn't find anything. Any help would be great. Thanks.

We're talking a doubling of power (and not a doubling of voltage) so there will only be a 3db increase. If you want 85dbC SPL, the L & R should individually be at 82dbC SPL.

hey there

i have a fasttrack when i travel.. so i use it on n off ..
firstly your mix control is like a blend knob for your headphone out.. to monitor analog inputs (i.e. from 12 o clock to 7 o clock > anticlockwise) & to monitor computer output (i.e. from 12 o clock to 5 o clock > clockwise)..so basically u blend ur input volume to your actual computer output with the mix knob. .. the main outs control the outputs from the back of the unit i.e. o/ps 1,2,3,4.
i guess u have ur monitors/headfones connected via the headfone outs.. so ur final control on the unit would be the headfone level knob on top of the connector.
this rp5 ? what is it?
can u elaborate further?how do u have everything connected?
cheers
