as far as i know - and someone can correct me - it's pretty much a wire in bypass.

Yep. Hard-wired. As bypassed as it can be, including powering off from a remote power source (as opposed to flipping the switch on the front).

I have made a/b comparisons with mine in bypass and cannot hear any audible difference .
