A great link to find your own hearing curve!

I googled a bit after seeing Danika's Forge screen shot on Equal Loudness curves....this is a quick easy test for hearing...the flatter the phones the better for sure!

The cool thing about this app is that IF you know your own hearing strength and weakness', you can effectiveley test headphones and speaker tonal responses with apps like these.

I'm sure many of you have been using tone generation for years but for newbs.....have fun...

This might be good for some people, but I think it could also lead to trying to over compensate and second guess your hearing and eqing process.

My thought is if you think you have deficiencies in your hearing then knowing were those problems lie would be beneficial.

But if you turn out good results and your eq is consistently on then it might be better to not try to fix it if it ain't broke.

Sometimes ignorance can be bliss; )

But if you turn out good results and your eq is consistently spot on then don't try to fix it if it ain't broke.

yeah i know what you mean...EQ paranoia is bad bad..leads to over EQing mixes for sure....i'm well aware of my 5-6 k weakness...i like this app for assesing speakers and headphones, so i can put numbers to what my ears are telling me!
