Advice required on home mastering

Hi folks

I've used Heathmans and Streaky G for projects in the past, and I know it is generally very undesirable to be mastering material you have produced, but we are flat, stoney cold broke, so for the first run at this release (itunes etc + CD) it has to be DIY alas.

I've polled for a bit of opinion in the "show and tell" forum, and the usual collection of friends/colleagues. A consensus seems to be we are a bit heavy on the bass end, but with the mix facilities available: Logic Pro ITB / UAD1/2, monitoring on Adam A7, reference on HR824 and Bose Soundock (consumer hi fi) we just aren't hearing it.

FWIW we took quite an unusual approach to recording the album: the entire collection of 11 songs is inside a single Logic project @ 88.2/24, currently sitting around 64gb. Tracked in a large airy sounding room in a steading (converted barn) in the highlands of Scotland. The process has given the songs a really nice sonic consistency and vibe which really suits the acoustic nature of the material. In short, me (producer/engineer) and artist are really happy with the result.

I don't want to be breaching forum rules and posting links here, but if there is anyone who has a moment and might be interested in casting a professional ear over some previews and making some suggestions, I'd be really grateful. PM me and I'll forward a link.

Thanks in advance, and sorry for interruption! :-)
Chris
