Cd Architect Question

Hello All,

Quick Cd Architect question..

If you have a project completely laid out with indexes and you need to replace one track in the middle of the album with a file that is longer than the original how do you set the program up to move all later files accordingly?

As it is working for me right now, I delete the audio file and the track but it leaves a hole in the session. When I drop the longer file in that hole it either crossfades into the next track or underlaps the next track depending on how the auto-crossfade is set. I would like everything after the new file to shift forward in time keeping the files and tracks end to end.

Thank you in advance,

Greg

You can shift all the other tracks to the right, untill the crossfade is gone.

Just turn on Ripple Edits from the Options menu and when you paste the new track the existing clips will be moved over. If things still don't land right where you want them, you can easily edit the pause time by right clicking in the gap between the tracks (down on the bottom where it shows the track number and time) and choose Edit Pause Time.

Hope this helps!
