Thread Starter | straight to 16 bit or 24 then dither
Hi There, I am about to have a go at mastering some stuff. I have a humble set up but am keen to give it a go. If I am running the tracks through a desk and some hardware what should I record them back in at? 16 / 44.1 so they are ready to go or 24/44.1 or higher then down to 16. Thanks... |

Record in 24 bits. Process (if applicable), then reduce to 16 bit with dither.

Keep your work at the highest resolution you can until you have to squeeze it into your target delivery format. GR |
