Thread Starter | Please help! Slight salvage operation!
Hi guys, a little question for you all. A couple of weekends ago we made a long road trip to record an EP. Well I could go into details but on the way back our computer was destroyed and we lost all work done that morning. For one track in particular, all we have is a rough master (to listen to on the ride) of an almost finished mix. This track holds a lot of great performances and actually doesn't sound that bad! However, in the chorus there is something that has been nagging me all week, I REALLY want to drop the level the lead vocal (Ever so slightly). What would be the best way to achieve this goal (or near as possible) without sacrificing too much elsewhere in the track. I was thinking some automated multiband compression but obviously nothing will do it like having the fader! Many thanks everyone!! |
