| Lives for gear | Mastering Software?
I'm going to have my tracks Mastering by pro's in unattended sessions. I'm looking for software to set up my track orders/gaps and cross fades. Any ideas? I have Roxio Jam but seeing if there's something else or better. Thanks, dfegad Keith Moore |

my vote is for better, let the mastering engineer do it. send over any notes you may have with the tracks.

Is there a reason you are pissing on yourself?

I like it just fine when clients send in a mock-up sequence CD. Makes things nice and easy. I would recommend using any sort of regular DAW (did you record the tracks yourself?), and just making the sequence up in there, then just put down some sort of markers you can bounce or export between and export out each song one at a time, send those files to the mastering engineer and let he/she line them back up in a gapless fashion in their own DAW. Or, if you aren't super tweaky about where the actual track start IDs are, you can just export it as one long file, making it even less likely that anything would change your spacing from being just as you like it. best, Jason Ward Chicago Mastering Service |
