I sold a mixer to a "mastering engineer"
Macbook, digital mixer, untreated room at his parents house.

After listening to his results, I think the price is fair, maybe a little too high.

Hmmm...an interesting concept. That could be a lotta fun!

Maybe I can dig something up...does he specialize in a certain genre?

I notice on www.ximorp.com that it requires 24-48 hours, which at least means ximorp might not be one of those totally automated crunchers. They might actually have people listening and mastering.

I noticed no picture of a mastering room, so, in a positive sense, they didn't rip off someone else's picture of a mastering room.

We should let him Master the Guitar-Hero Metallica Songs.
Lets see how he holds up.

As tempted as I am to make a negative comment about what appears to be a 'fly by night operation' - what if the guy who runs that service reads all this? What happens then? What are his legal rights? {He appears to be in the UK as well} Can he make this thread disappear? And not just him but what about others? What does our agreement with GS states about making these types of {libelous?} comments and what has GS itself agreed in this regard with the software developer that created these forums? Hopefully - Jay can clear some of these questions. Meantime, be careful guys, I don't think is wise to continue this. Correct me if I am wrong.

Regards,

Why the fuss? Does someone honestly feel that the free guy with plug-ins competes with your work?

Someone does something for free. It doesn't take away my customers, and I probably wouldn't even want to work with them if the cheapest job around is the best for them, let alone the free one.

If he's good, he will have work in the future. If not..

It is not free, he charges 1 pence for the first song and more money for more songs.

If he can make money doing this then GREAT! If he cannot he will not be around very long.

I wish him best of luck!

Welcome to the forum Ximorp!

Edit: Don't hesitate to express your opinions but I have learned that sometimes is best to ignore all negative comments. Just a little advise.

Regards,
In order to prove Libel, you must first prove that you are being lied about.

Nothing on here has been libelous so far.

Noone's calling him a c*cks*cker, they're just saying that he doesn't include a gear list which is very shady.
