Yep. Some modifications to the I/O, mainly to run the LME49713 CFB op-amps. I don't also have a single capacitor in the main audio path, I just decouple the filters with some Nichicon bipolars.

I have finally gotten my hands on an NSEQ-F. First impressions are very, very, very positive. As I wrote before in this thread, I used to have an NSEQ-2 a few years back, but this is something else...

I'll post on how the top end sounds in comparison to the Sontec (since that's what the thread is about) once I've gotten to know the unit a bit better. One thing I am already very certain of is that the NSEQ-F (like the Sontec) has found a permanent home.

Since in my current line-up of EQs (Avalon 2077, Millennia NSEQ-F and Sontec 250-C) the Sontec high end still gets used the most, but remains a bit impractical due to the pots, I've decided to take the plunge and buy a (fully switched) Sontec 462-C.

It'll be a few days before I can give it a listen... I'm excited to say the least.

Congrats on that. Will you sell the 250 after a bit? I think adding the 462-C will put you over the legal limit.

Actually.... I am over the limit

More units than rack space, so something will have to go; though it may not be an EQ. If the Sontec 250C and the 462C sound very similar, I'll sell the 250C. If not, I shall have to keep both and get rid of something else. Or else I'm gonna need to install a side rack
