Looking for options on UAD plugs for mastering.
Since right now I cant afford the hardware I want at the moment.

Which ones do you rate at the top ?

They have the new

The UAD Precision Series was brought out with mastering in mind...

Otherwise the Sonalksis plugs prove quite popular as well

fwiw - I own the UAD Precision Limiter, Precision EQ and Precision Multiband. I almost never use them - usually preferring other options (i.e. Voxengo Elephant, Sonoris EQ, Sonoris Multiband) for when I do use digital options in the chain.

-Cambridge EQ for cutting

-Precision Buss Compressor (very transparent)

-Pultec EQ / Neve 1081 for boosting and when some colouring is needed (I use PSPNeon when more transparent EQing is needed)

-Precision Maximizer if some overall saturation / fullness is needed

-Precision Limiter

-Precision Multiband Compressor if I Master Tracks from other people and nothing else works.

Hiya

So far PL on many sessions, PEQ on some & Cambridge on a few.

But I have not bought PCompressor or Maximizer, yet.

Did not like the Multiband.

I used the maximizer and limiter quite a lot, but they have been replaced by the Sonnox limiter. I really like the Enhance function in that plugin.

The limiter is my goto limiter, even though I really like Voxengo Elephant as well.
And I like Cambridge.

I don't like the precision eq or multiband comp. But sometimes the pultec pro is strapped over a harsh mix to calm it down a notch.

I use the precision EQ for small changes like 20 hz filtering, or some small EQ changes. Precision limiter as my main. Use the maximizer as well on tracks.

Recently I attended a mastering session, and the C1 was used for a few things with the sidechain.
