Airshow Mastering builds new studio

Hi everyone,
For all those interested, Airshow Mastering is constructing a new facility in Takoma Park Maryland, right on the D.C. border. Several of us are long time Gearslutz fans, and thought that this would be a great place to chronicle the construction. I have started a thread and will be posting photos and updates over in the Studio Construction Forum. I am happy to share information and respond to questions as my schedule allows, after all that is what Gearslutz is all about.

Thanks!

-Mike

Hey Mike!

Exciting. Will this be a new place for Charlie (i.e. replacing the Springfield studio?) or a separate facility altogether?

Cheers,
Chad

p.s. give my best to Charlie and Dave!

Hi Chad,
Thanks for the interest. The new studio will replace the Springfield studio. It has become clear over the past few years that we need more space and would like to offer some additional services to our clients. The new facility is being designed by Sam Berkow of SIAacoustics (SIA Acoustics) and will include two mastering rooms, a production room, and a recording studio. It is quite a project, but we are really looking forward to it.
We are currently doing demolition work and things seem to be moving quickly.

I will certainly let Charlie and Dave know you said hi.

-Mike
