Is there an equally good program for PC that comes close to PMCD or Peak Pro??

If you can't afford Sequioa. Samplitude Master will do the trick.

If you don't need DDP support then SAWStudio - Welcome to RML Labs - The Makers of SAWStudio paired with the JMS Audioware Cue Sheet Generator plugin - JMS Audioware - will get you there as well.

I'd like to do DDP. Does Samplitude 10 include Samplitude Master or are these 2 different programs?

Thanks,

Chris

afaik Samplitude 10 will NOT do DDP. You need either an older version (I believe back to 7) with the DDP add on (which is no longer purchaseable as a seperate option) - or have to pony the serious bucks for Sequoia.

With Wavelab 5 & 6 you need to get the Cube-tec DDP Solution - DDP-Solution - Overview - Cube-Tec International in order to create DDP.

With Pyramix again you need to purchase their DDP option.

SADIE supports DDP in nearly all of its versions.

The cheapest way to DDP on PC is Gear Pro Mastering Edition - GEAR Software - DVD Burning & CD Burning Software – GEAR Video & GEAR PRO Software - but this is much more of a utility "Toast" style app and seems to be fairly clumsy in its work flow - so most likely you'd want to get this only as a supplement if your primary mastering app did not support DDP.

Anyway - for reasonably priced DDP solutions Mac is the way to go. Ironically CD error checking is much easier to do with PC.

Sequoia runs on PC and is among the very best mastering platforms available.

Thanks everyone,

I've been using Cd Architect since moving to PC and am pretty happy with the workflow after this year but want to do DDP. I'll check out the options. Sequoia might be the way to go but big $$$!!

WaveLab is great, but no DDP solution at a sensible cost.
So what I have been doing is creating the Red Book PMCD in WaveLab, with all it's bells & whistles, and importing this to a DDP image using GEAR Pro Mastering Edition.

Never had a master rejected yet, touch wood.
Support on both apps is excellent as well.
