Thread Starter | Can anyone recommend an inexpensive USB "Premium" Plextor external drive to do error checking w/ Plextools? any specific models... and maybe even where to buy them? It would need to work with a Mac Pro, using Parallels software. thanks |

Verified Member | Here's some for you - all external - all support Plextools Q-check - this company is reliable (I've bought product from them) but a bit pricy - Wholesale Computer Parts, Laptop Notebook Parts-Saitech Online Hardware Software Catalog. Verified Member | You can also mount an internal drive in just about any external case and it will still be recognised by Plextools. Cheers James. |

| You want PlexTools LE and not HDD Models to look at: PX755 - SATA interface PX760 - ATA interface older PX 716 will also work. There are others, but I can vouch for the above three from my own experience. PlexWriter Premium2 is a link to the still being made/sold in Europe (apparently) Plextor CD-writer. This is likely to be cheaper than the 'vintage' prices being asked for the NOS models listed above. Best, Graemme |
