how about old speakers like altec 9646,9649 9644 ..studio monitor.

How about them for what? Mastering? Mixing? For what genre? Replacing what?

for pre mastering.i use ns10 in my mix,this is good.but always i have a problem in low frequency also with powerful amp and best quality cable and placing.now i am looking for some speaker to gave me a good response in low freq below the $2000.
