Question Jump the tune / Automated skipping within a tune

Hello,

does anybody know how to automate a playback program, say Winamp for example, to play 5 sec of a tune, skip the next 15 sec, and play another 5 sec before skipping the next 15 sec ?

I've seen this technique in a Mastering studio but I can't recall the program that was used to do it.

I found it to be very helpful to get a "Radio tune in" perspective that enables a differently biased way of listening.

Thanks!!
