Never compared the 2 but I have absolutely no complaints about my IB1S / Levinson combination. I know it's a cliche, but I don't believe there is really anything between me and the music anymore.

Just out of interest, what price have you found the IB1s's for? There seems to be quite a big pricing difference here in the UK depending on what supplier you go with.

I have seen some prices in Europe for £5180 (England, vat inc.), for euro 6228 (Italy, vat inc), for euro 4629 (Scandinavia, vat exc.)

Do you use the sub?

Yeah there does seem to be quite a big deviation in prices.

I sourced mine second hand but have seen them for as much as 5000GBP new to as little as 3500GBP new.

Regards the sub, I was planning on using them with my REL sub until I realised that they go low enough for my purposes. I generally roll off material below around 30-40hz anyway and they are useable down to 25. Not to say a well integrated sub wouldn't be a good thing, but I found the lower regions coming through the REL flabby in comparison to the lower regions being generated by the IB1's alone.

So in short, I believe them to be full range enough (some might disagree of course!)
