Whoa, this Tonka Toy sound could be pure if listenink to Squarepusher MPEG. che-che

On the real tip, though, it's interestink to me that DXD range samplink rate is used to upsample to, since there was discussed already diminishink returns to precision of "audio" range (20cps-20kHz) frequency sample reconstruction
when clockink to a rate higher than about 50-100kHz, yes?

Problem has been always, inter-clock settling time is only approachink infinitessimally brief instant, but, in real world - as of 2003 anyway - this chip can't go faster than 100k- maybe 140kHz - without spillink bits, so to speak in the lows makink less than good-lookink MLSSA and other windows when you are lookink in right places. ? Don't just look at top. This is now outmoded by Diamond DAC's special - char - dual SHARCs. This is in SFC-2, by the way. But DAC-1 MKII upsamplink is only to 2x Fs. Hmmm. Daniel does with 40 bits what others can't do with 64. Can't be "about the bits, Stooped..."

The Forssell MADA-2 is one of the best converters for mastering. Same ballpark as Lavry Gold or Prism Dream for sure.

Hello,
This is my first post here. I'm looking for a good quality 2 channel [B]DAC[ only/B] mostly for Red Book CD (44.1 KHz) and 88.2, 96K PCM. So far I don't care much about DSD. How does new Forssell stands against Weiss, Prism, and especially Lavry Gold on these formats?

Thank you

They are the same ballpark. It's a matter of taste which to pick. Forssell is cheaper than Weiss, Prism or Lavry Gold. I heard that some Lavry Gold users are going to sell theirs to get the new Forssell.

Anyone has tested or compared the new Mytek 192 dsd dac?
It's out since october and it seems like a ghost on the market.
No reviews or comparisons even on pro audio magazines.

Anyone?

The MYTEK DA192 is much better than the MYTEK DA96
It's a big improvement. Less Harsh, more dynamic, more natural.

For me the DA192 is rather for audiophile because if you really wants to reveals what's in the box; till now for me nothing beats the Forssell DA

I am soooooo bummed out. The Forssell is the sound I have been dreaming of my entire life and due to a financial tragedy at the studio I am going to have to sell my MADA-2 in a few days (unless a miracle happens). I have never been so bummed about having to sell something before.

I was used to Mytek stereo96DAC. Last week I moved to Crane Song Avocet. I have to say that improvement is really amazing, at least in my room. No need to mention the other functions beside the DAC.

Just bought Lavry DA924. Sounds amazing. First time hear on digital a violin sounds like a violin, with all proper harmonic balance.

What modern DAC is the better, than rare dCS 954?
Forssell is too "colored" for me. It's good for analog outboard, analog mixing, and back to digital but not for monitoring (IMHO).
I'm not using analog devices and looking for the same (or more) true and honest sound like dCS.

I have both the Forssell MADA-2 and the Lavry AD122 (MX Version).

Love em both (depending on material) N won't be selling either of em!

The DAC on the Forssell MADA-2 is great.

The dCS 954 is also pretty special, but IMO, a well functioning Lavry DA924 with original parts, takes the biscuit!

I really wanna checkout the Antelope Eclipse.

Anyone given it a spin?

Don't need much more than a Lavry DA10 with the right monitors,in the right treated room, with the right ears.
I am sure many songs have been mixed or mastered on much worse.

Have you compared Forssell MADA-2 and dCS 954?
Another question:
How do you think guys, which one has a better clock and better jitter reduction - dCS or Forssell?
