Software that reads DAT IDs?

Hi, is there a software editor (for PC or Mac) that is able to read track IDs from DATs (connection via SPDIF from DAT deck to DAW)?

Not via SPDIF that i know of.
Only with a dat tapestreamer (IDE/SCSI) with compatible firmware and software.

samplitude/sequoia will do it, but it would need a sp/dif compatible soundcard and a DAT machine that sends the ID signal over the sp/dif line. It won't read DAT IDs over AES.

As long as the software and DAT machine can be switched to the SPDIF protocol, the physical AES connections will be fine.

Sadie is another software that can read DAT IDs.

Best,
